This song is notable for a couple things. First, it's the shortest song in the collection at just over 2 minutes and 14 seconds. Second, it's the only song in this collection where the title of the song doesn't appear in the lyric, which is rare for my songs.
It's a very personal song for me. It began with hearing some sad news about an old friend, but the lyric only skims that aspect and even then it's quite obfuscated. All the familiar elements are at play - love, loss, life, longing. Other than to say it was written during a horrific pandemic I'll leave it at that. But I will add that this is perhaps my favorite song in the collection in terms of form and flow. It's a tone poem of sorts I guess - I'm really not sure, but I like it.
